David Rogers is one of the most experienced photo guides in Africa and has been running workshops since 2005. He started writing and travelling in Africa in the 1980s for Readers Digest and went on to work as an assistant editor at Getaway magazine, which took him throughout the region by foot, car, microlight, boat and bicycle. He has plenty of stories to tell from this time. David also photographed for Africa Geographic and produced seven books in the Safari in Style Series as well as numerous cover stories for this prestigious publication. David is a generalist photographer and is particularly interested in landscapes and animals in their environments. In addition to leading photographic trips, he still works as a commercial photographer specializing in lodges, architecture and food. David lives in Cape Town with his family and also runs private photographic tours in his home town.
