Tanzania Migration – April 2018

Dates: 15-22 April 2018

Availability: Yes

Price: $6855 (single supplement $765)

This 8-day trip is timed to coincide with the Great Migration as it gathers in the southern short grass plains near Ndutu. We have chosen a time during the green season when the air is crisp and the landscape is in flower. We will be based in our own private tented camp and have assembled some of the greatest guides in Tanzania to make it even more special. There will be a maximum of 4 people per vehicle in specially adapted Land Rovers. We’ll also visit the famous Ngorongoro Crater.

The itinerary of this trip is dependent on the movements of the migration. In a typical year, the wildebeest move back up north in June. So, April is a fantastic time of year to be at Ndutu near the southern Serengeti where the wildebeest congregate.

We’ll spend one night at the Ngorongoro Crater before making our way to the Ndutu region of the southern Serengeti.

We will be in a private, mobile tented camp, so we have flexibility to be in the best areas for game viewing. Some of the greatest guides in Tanzania will ensure we get the best sightings.

A good add on to this trip would be to spend time at Hatari Lodge — one of the few places where you can see flamingos in front of Kilimanjaro.
